Applied Maths presents research on NGS-based surveillance at IMMEM-10

The 10th edition of the International Meeting on Microbial Epidemiological Markers (IMMEM-10) is hosted by the Institut Pasteur in Paris, France from 2 – 5 October 2013. Dr. Hannes Pouseele, Software Architect at Applied Maths, will present the results of his research in a talk entitled “wgMLST versus wgSNP in NGS-based epidemiological surveillance”.

PathoGenetix and Applied Maths to integrate rapid strain typing and bioinformatics tools

PathoGenetix, Inc. and Applied Maths, NV have signed an agreement to link the RESOLUTION Microbial Genotyping System with the BioNumerics software suite to offer a dramatically improved time-to-answer and shortened decision making time in pathogen outbreak investigations, traceback and epidemiological response. The fully automated and integrated solution will confirm and identify pathogens in complex mixtures in just five hours, allow rapid sharing of outbreak information among public health and food safety laboratories, and enable comparison to strain data from other typing systems such as pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE).

BioNumerics and GelCompar II 6.x service updates available

While version 7 of BioNumerics is on the market for a number of months already, Applied Maths decided to release a final service update of the 6.x series of its GelCompar II and BioNumerics packages as a service to those customers who have not upgraded to BioNumerics Seven yet.
