BioNumerics version 7.6.1 released

We are pleased to announce an update of our BioNumerics software: version 7.6.1. As you have gotten used to with previous updates, this version is once again packed with exciting new features and improvements:

  • De novo assemblies, sequence mapping and wgMLST using the Amazon cloud environment are now even easier to execute with the ability to directly upload your sequence reads to the calculation engine. No need to have the reads publicly available anymore or to use third-party tools for uploading reads to cloud storage!
  • A new plugin has been added to extract specific sequences from assembled genomes. This allows you to extract e.g. MLST genes, antibiotic resistance genes, virulence genes... from your assemblies and save them in separate sequence experiments for further examination.

A complete overview of all new features and a download link can be found on the BioNumerics update download page.

How to upgrade?

This update is free of charge for all our current BioNumerics Seven customers. No new license string is needed for version 7.6 users, but version 7.0, 7.1 and 7.5 users will need to request a new license string prior to downloading the software!

Customers that have an older BioNumerics version can request a quote for an upgrade of their existing license.
