45th Training Workshop on BioNumerics and GelCompar II March 27-28, 2008, Austin, Texas, U.S.A. The Basic Training Workshop focuses on the main features and the basic use of the software packages GelCompar II and BioNumerics. The participants get a good overview of all the possibilities of the GelCompar II and BioNumerics software packages through numerous hands-on demos and exercises. Special attention is given to the preprocessing and analysis of various kinds of electrophoresis fingerprints from gels and sequencers, as well as sequence or pattern-based techniques such as MLST, VNTR, spa typing, etc. The Workshop Notes include color-printed hand-outs of all the lectures and tutorials of the hands-on demonstrations and exercises. The registration price for two workshop days, including lunches and dinner is $850. This price covers one computer per participant, two lunches and a dinner. The workshop will be held in the Renaissance Hotel at the Arboretum: a great hotel in a great area! Applied Maths can make hotel reservations. The room rate is $145. Customers as well as non-customers who are interested in learning more about our software are invited to attend this workshop. The number of participants is strictly limited to 20.
