The Basic Training Workshop focuses on the main features and the basic use of the software packages GelCompar II and BioNumerics. The participants get a good overview of all the possibilities of the GelCompar II and BioNumerics software packages through numerous hands-on demos and exercises. Special attention is given to the preprocessing and analysis of various kinds of electrophoresis fingerprints from gels and sequencers, as well as sequence or pattern-based techniques such as MLST, VNTR, spa typing, etc. The Workshop Notes include color-printed hand-outs of all the lectures and tutorials of the hands-on demonstrations and exercises.

The registration price for two workshop days, including lunches and dinner is $850. If you purchased BioNumerics version 6.0 or later, you are entitled to one free workshop participation per license. The workshop covers one computer per participant, two lunches and a dinner. The workshop will be held at the new AT&T Hotel and Conference Center located on The University of Texas campus (http://www.meetattexas.com). The room rate is $139/night. Customers as well as non-customers who are interested in learning more about our software are invited to attend this workshop. The number of participants is strictly limited to 20. In case the workshop is fully booked, the date of registration together with prepayment will be decisive.
