Access denied


When attempting to open a database on the client, following error message appears: "Access denied". What could be the problem?


The NetKey server name is correct in NETKEY.INI and NetKey is running on the license server, but NetKey refused to grant a license because the client's name does not occur (or is not correctly specified) in the NetKey license list. Make sure the name (and IP address when permanent) of the client computer is listed correctly in the NetKey program. When this is the case, and the problem still occurs, it means that the name of the client computer is not correctly passed on over the LAN. To remedy this, a name server should be installed, or you can simply create LMHOSTS files on both the NetKey server and clients that specify the names of the respective computers.
