Luc Vauterin, Ph.D.
Scientific Advisor
Luc holds a masters degree in biochemistry and has worked for 10 years as a doctoral and post-doctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Microbiology of the Ghent University (Belgium) from 1987 to 1997. He earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Ghent in 1995. Inspired by his own extensive studies on microbial biodiversity and the resulting need for integrative data analysis software, he started up Applied Maths in 1992 and has managed the company for 19 years. Luc decided to step down as CEO in 2011 and is currently offering his scientific and enterpreneural expertise to the company in an advisory function.
