Export tools
Export database entries to XML (Database Sharing Tools only)
From selected entries in the database, you can export the experiment data and information fields in XML format. The files are exported to a subdirectory Export of the current database. The script pops up a dialog box that asks to select the experiments you want to export. The script also offers the following options: (1) whether you want export the experiment definitions (.cnf files), (2) to delete any existing XML files in the Export directory, and (3) for fingerprint experiments, only export the selected lanes (or full gels).
See also Import database entries from XML under Import tools.
Export database fields
From selected entries in the database, you can export database fields in tab-delimited text format. The script pops up a dialog box that asks to check the fields you want to export, and whether you want the data to be written to a file (Export.txt in the database directory) or to the clipboard.
Export database fields and band metrics
From selected entries in the database, you can export database fields in tab-delimited text format, followed by a comma separated list of bands per entry. The script pops up a dialog box that asks to check the Fingerprint type for which you want to export the band information, and whether you want the bands to be given in relative running length (% of track length) or metrics (e.g. molecular weight or bp). Next, a Save as window prompts you to enter a name for the text file.
The exported results are in the following format:
FIELD1 <tab> FIELD2 <tab> ... <tab> Size1, Size2, ...
FIELD1 <tab> FIELD2 <tab> ... <tab> Size1, Size2, ...
...
